This was one of those moments where your heart hurts cause you are experiencing something almost too beautiful! I tired several times to get Beatrix to sleep this morning. Micah was sitting on her vibrating chair watching the Rose Bowl Parade and he said, "Will you sit her here by me Mommy?" and I did, a little frustrated truth be told. He put his arm under her and as you can see from the above video promptly fell asleep right next to him.... *sigh* I remember when she was born feeling really sad for her cause she would never get the one on one attention that Micah got, but after today... well he sure never got this kind of attention from an adoring older sibling.

Oh, Lydia, how great that you could capture that in video and pictures. I always wanted an older brother when I was growing up (which obviously never happened since I was the firstborn) and was so excited that Noah was going to be one for Ellie. I wasn't sure in the beginning when he was still trying to figure her out how everything was going to work, but he loves her so much now. I love when he tries to calm her down when she's upset. Obviously Micah is filling his big brother role with ease. =)
And the post below - I wanted to cry seeing you guys at the beach as I'm huddled up here in my hooded sweatshirt underneath a blanket and listening to the heat kick on. Lucky!
