Micah's New Obsession

Matt set up the tent in our living room.

They look pretty comfy! I was reluctant to go to work myself.

Last week I worked 6 nights and so on Saturday I thought it would be fun for them to get a movie and have a movie night together. Matt set up the tent and filled it will sofa cushions and blankets and he popped popcorn and they watched the movie Cars. Micah is in love with it now and would watch it all day long if we let him. He has 5 Cars race cars and takes them everywhere with him...in the car, eating, and even to bed with him. I found out when I got home from work that night all they had eaten was popcorn and cookies! Boys!!!

Easter Eggs and Our Color Cordinated Son

On Saturday a friend of ours in the neighborhood had a HUGE Easter egg hunt. In fact she and her husband hid over 350 eggs in their back yard. Micah was so excited about this and had been talking about it all week. So when we got to their house he was ready to go. Just so you know there were 12 little kids under 3 years and all of them had their own buckets to collect the eggs.

A view of the backyard so you can see just a few of the eggs.

Micah, out of all the other kids, was the only one to run to the back yard. He had his pick of hundreds of eggs.

And what did he do? He picked up ONLY the green eggs! Not an accident, no there was not only green eggs. Our son just choose to pick up only the KELLY green mind you, eggs.

Looking inside of them and realizing that they were empty. Yes, they turned in the empty eggs for prizes. No candy at this hunt! The parents were very happy. They got bubbles, milk, and stickers. When Micah realized that they had to turn the eggs in he WEPT! I mean really cried. It was so sad. We tried to convince him that the prizes were worth it, but he couldn't be bothered. He wanted to keep all of those beautiful kelly green eggs that he had worked so hard to collect. Our son is a goofy goofy kid. Matt said, "Hey, he knows what he likes!" Sounds like someone else I know...

It's Official!

We, the three Harrison's, would officially like to announce that we are due to have another little one! He or she is expected to make their apperance around October 27th. Will you pray with us for this new little one growing inside of me? Though we are nervous we are also very excited to see who this little Gift of God will be and what new dimension they will add to our family. Micah is very excited and already says a prayer every night for the little baby in "mommy's tummy".

Visitors from the Wintery North

In February we were able to have a few guests. Matt's professor and mentor Jim from the ICS in Toronto and his wife Arvilla came down to escape the cold for 4 days. It was so much fun having them here! We were able to get a babysiter one night and go for dinner. That was wonderful. Jim spoke in Matt's phylosophy class too which was the highlight of their visit for Matt. He couldn't stop grinning.

Then the very next week Matt's parents and his brother Peter came for a visit. Matt's mom was able to come to Miami for a work conference and the boys went scuba diving and snorkeling. Matt even took a couple of days off of work to go down to Miami with them and get in on the action. They chartered a boat and went out to several dives. While Matt's dad and Pete were under water Matt floated around on top looking at the fish below him. They were in the Keys by the way. Matt called me Thursday night pretty freaked out because when he had been snorkeling that day he looked up and saw a shadow in the water about 50-70 feet away from him. He said within 2 seconds an 8 foot reef shark went swimming underneath him! He said he hasn't been that terrified since he went skydiving before we got married! I was just glad that he was safe. Anyway they all came back to our house that Friday and stayed with us until Wednesday. We had sooooo much fun and Micah really warmed up to them fast. He kept getting Pete and Matt confused though which was very funny.
